Elite Institute for Instructors offers instructor certification at three different levels. The levels of certification are based both on the type of material that is being taught and the characteristics of the students that are being taught. The levels of certification are:

1. Level 1 - Teaching foundational topics, e.g. beginner, basic, introductory

   • Clients are new to the topic

   • Clients have only a casual interest in the topic

   • Clients have a limited background in the topic

2. Level 2 - Teaching topics beyond foundational, e.g. intermediate, advanced, specialty

   • Clients have mastered the foundational topics and are looking the next level of training

   • Clients are experienced in the topic and are looking for a more in-depth level of training

   • Clients are experienced in the topic and are looking for focused or specialized instruction e.g. stylings, variation, techniques, etc.

3. Level 3 - Teaching topics specific to a published standard of evaluation

   • Clients are preparing for a formal evaluation of their abilities in a topic such as preparing for a competition, belt test, or other professional assessment.

   • Clients are preparing for a certification of their knowledge of a topic and their ability to apply that knowledge, such as this certification.

 

The levels of certification must be completed in order. So, Level 1 certification must be awarded before Level 2 can be started and level 2 must be awarded before Level 3 can be started.

Certification at each level is for both individual instruction (private lessons or coachings) as well as for group class instruction. If the area of certification includes students learning as partners, as in some types of dance, the certification includes the certification in the instruction of partners as well.
